Welcome.

We are currently in the startup phase of this church.
We are looking for the right candidates to help launch this with the best use of our currently limited resources. All candidates must wholeheartedly agree with our mission, statement of faith, and method of carrying them out. We are an Equal Opportunity employer and reasonable accommodations will be made for special needs situations. While this is officially a church job, our policy for employees is that they are also members of a local church body with a congruent statement of faith and practice. Participation in our church activities will be expected for most future roles under the Isayah 61 Ministries administrative positions but accommodations will be made if in conflict with the employee's home church events or services.

As of May 2025, we are applying for grants for startup funds which will enable the hiring of the following positions. IF the primary "Ministry Director" position is attractive to you and you see yourself as able to latch on to and carry out this ministry's vision, and you can literally survive for many months without compensation then we should talk. We'll find a way to make up the just compensation as funds come in later!

When the funds are available to HIRE for the below positions and move in to some office space, there will be actionable links to Indeed or another job posting website at the top of the position title. Please utilize the Contact Us page to chat about your level of interest now or once hiring is active.

Ministry Director

We are looking for a Full Time Ministry Director to implement the ministry arms of Isayah 61 Ministries. Duties will include administration of the entire operation on an ever expanding basis. Ministry Director will need to be able to absorb the entire scope of the ministry as narrated on the Blog page, About page, and Statement of Faith, then help the Founder to install an actionable game plan to implement as much of the overall plan as is possible or needed in the North East Georgia region.

I am prayerfully looking for a candidate with business and ministry experience but will also consider applicants who are fresh out of higher education classes with some combination of business acumen and a heart for ministry. The applicant must be active in a church and in good standing in their current community. Applicant must easily flow in prayer situations as our workday will consist of active prayer times for the needs of the community as well as opportunities to pray for co-workers, guests, vendors, callers, and ministry targets. The Ministry Director will establish all down-chain job roles and expectations and must be able to perform the roles of all down-chain employees in order to train each future employee except in situations where physical, disability, license, or expertise limitations would prevent.

The Ministry Director will initially be tasked with fundraising duties in order to secure their long term employment. Because this is a grass roots startup church ministry, the Founder is offering security for 6 months of salary which means the new Director's duties will require that they secure donations and receipts to cover their subsequent yearly salary needs. Salary is dependent on education, experience, and availability.
Proposed salary would be $28,000-$34,000 per year initially and will ramp up as duties increase.
Work hours may vary but the forecasted expectation is Monday-Friday 7 to 8 hours daily with some events in the evenings, Some Saturdays for office or ministry outreaches, and Sundays will be off unless in case of planned outreach or emergency events (ie. collecting disaster relief supplies from community or delivering supplies to a family whose house burned down the night before). This is a salaried position and may look like 30 hours one week but 50 another week. As time demands ramp up, this position will be augmented by an Assistant Director position as the Ministry Director has developed a secure budget to allow for. It should be understood that this position will entail deeply emotional interactions with the public, some long and exhausting days or nights, some level of physically strenuous activity unless a disability is present, cold calling other ministries to ask how we can help them, grant writing, endlessly looking for ways to meet needs, keeping confidences, human resources activities, interacting with ministry targets who may be in great need of compassion, praying intensely for many people, and intensive computer/internet use. This is a position of servant leadership which will require one's whole heart and will require a strong individual who is willing to learn as they go and adapt to overcome challenges. I am looking for a confident leader to help establish the greatest move of the Gospel the state of Georgia has ever seen.

Does this sound like you? If yes, then please contact me immediately!

If is sounds like it MIGHT be you... maybe pray about it, and then contact me and we'll talk about how we can develop your abilities and confidence.

If this does not sound like you and you wish it did, slide on over to that contact us page and lets start talking. Maybe the Ministry Assistant position is more your comfort level.

Ministry Assistant  (pre-launch outline- volunteers welcome now!)

This position is open currently on a volunteer basis but can easily flow in to a Full Time position once funds allow and if wanted.

Ministry Assistant duties will be acting as the hands and mouth for the Ministry Director.
Heavy phone work.
Actively praying with other staff and contacts over the phone.
Clerical work.
Data Entry.
Internet Research.
Some on-site ministry work.
Some delivering of goods or picking up donations from other churches.
Duties will expand over time.
Perfect for ministry interns!

For volunteers, needed office hours can vary as available but our hope (once a director is hired) is that we'd have some help for a few hours a day to interview churches and local ministries as we build our database. This can be also accomplished in a home based situation for a time.
For interns, we'd love to have you in the office (this is written pre-office) for a couple hours daily between 10am-3pm so we are diligent to mentor you in ministry for your future aspirations.

For future Full Time employment, this position would likely earn between $24,000 and $28,000 per year and this section will be updated by the Ministry Director once that position is filled and this position becomes critical to fill.
